Rejection is an almighty word that we potentially face daily but, the God of our Redemption allows us to Rise above the emotions/feelings we face. Choose the Truth rather than the feelings. It’s certainly appropriate to acknowledge your feelings but not okay to allow them to dictate your response……remember, you are a child of the Most High God!!! Thank you Theron for reminding us of to “sing our song in spite of wounds, pain, and rejection.”

Well said, Derek. Day 5 is where the rubber hits the road, so to speak. It’s at this point of initial rejection, especially at a young age, that we make a choice that stays with us for much of our life. At least until we recognize what we’ve done. We have typically three responses when we are rejected: 1) keep singing our song, 2) stop singing our song (and stop singing at all really) and hide who we really are, or 3) sing a different song that we hope the one who rejected our song will approve of. #2 and #3 are mask-wearing responses that we are incapable of continuing for long without the need for some form of medication, because we can’t stand the associated pain that comes with wearing the mask. Our real song cries out from behind the mask. The more our song gets pushed down, the deeper the wound becomes. But there is healing in Jesus name since He created our song and has given us what we need to sing it out. Through Him, the mask can be removed and destroyed. Thanks for your comment, Derek.

Theron, your book LOVE SUNG has hit the bull’s-eye of my search for the circle of truth in that “eye”. I have. a passion for writing what HIS WORD means to me in any situation or circumstance that has distinct spiritual meaning in my life. This, through HIS sweet VOICE via ABBA Father, all-knowing and all-adoring, JESUS, my certainty and lifeblood, and The HOLY SPIRIT, my teacher and my comforter when I land in Kadesh Barnea. As a son blesses his mother, so you, dear Theron, have blessed the spirit and love within me to new heights. I thank HIM for filling you to over-flowing. May HE never stop HIS flow in to your heart! Your thankful Mom
